02Developer

I study computer science and technology, and I’m an independent developer.

An idea takes shape first, then gets written out line by line, until other people can use it too. Aivory and FlowMuse both started that way.

Away from code I like taking gadgets apart, and going somewhere far with a camera.

Four things I can’t leave alone

Away from code, most of my time goes to these four. Point at any of them and the darkroom changes the picture.

Places I’ve been

Yunnan, Gansu, Hainan, Beijing, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Yangzhou. Each picture starts inverted and comes up in its own colours as it reaches the middle.

Experiments, taken apart

The effects from the home page, one at a time. Each one answers to a pointer or a finger.

09Info

There is an enzyme in the name

Allo- means “other”; -zyme means enzyme: something that makes a reaction happen without being used up. I want the tools I make to work like that, quietly turning other people’s ideas into finished work.

A computer science student who builds independently on the side, and travels with a camera. Code and photographs take the same patience: waiting for a build, for the light, for the right moment.
